Mr. Kovaleski's - Welcome Letter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to introduce myself and welcome everyone to the Mid Valley Elementary Center. For the past twenty-years I have spent my time educating our students at the Mid Valley Secondary Center. I started out as a math and computer science teacher, took on the role as the assistant principal, and for the last seven years served as the principal of the Secondary Center. This year, as the District continues to grow and change, I take on a new role of Elementary Principal for grades 4, 5, and 6.

My goal is to bring the knowledge I have gained over the years down to the Elementary Center to help our students with a successful transition into our Secondary Center. The mission of the Mid Valley School District is to EDUCATE, INSPIRE, and EMPOWER. We do this through our mission which is teaching, challenging, and encouraging our students to become responsible citizens. Our highly qualified teachers are committed to the vision and mission of the district. They will continue to deliver an outstanding academic program which provides all students with the opportunity to learn and develop their skills to the fullest potential.

This school year offers to us many opportunities and challenges. It is my belief that parents are the most important link to the success of any educational program and are crucial in helping to meet those opportunities and challenges. I encourage you to contact your child's teachers, their guidance counselor, and me when the need arises. I look forward to working with everyone for the benefit of all the students.

I want to wish all of our students and parents a very successful year of learning and growth. If you have any questions throughout the year, please feel free to contact me.

Mr. Piercy's Welcome Letter

Dear Mid Valley Students, Parents, and Guardians,

With great enthusiasm, I extend a warm welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. As the new K-3 Principal of the Mid Valley Elementary Center, I am excited to collaborate with all of you to ensure a memorable and successful school journey for our students.

As the principal, I want to assure you that our students' safety, well-being, and interests are at the forefront of every decision we make. We are committed to developing the whole child and supporting each student’s academic, behavioral, and social development.

The Mid Valley Elementary Center utilizes a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Framework to promote positive behavior and create supportive learning environments. Our PBIS program received state recognition for implementation and sustainment during the 2023-24 school year!

Lastly, the school-home connection is not just important; it's crucial. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by utilizing the Remind App, visiting the district/school website, and reviewing our newsletters and handouts. We also encourage parents to contact their child’s teachers, school counselors, or administrators via email, Remind, or phone to discuss concerns and problem-solve. Your involvement is critical to our students' success.

I am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming school year and the journey we will embark on together. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Michael Piercy

MVEC K-3 Principal
